The Metaphor - or What Airports Have to Do with Racism
Imagine a moving sidewalk. Like at an airport – lots of people on it, mostly ignoring each other and everyone else, lots of people off it. Some people on the moving sidewalk are rushing and knocking over old ladies' bags with an oversized carry-on. A young family is just standing there, taking a break, and the occasional kid is running the opposite direction just because they can.
